1. Trabajaremos en editar los cuentos que hemos estado escribiendo para realizar la actividad con los alumnos de primero y segundo grados.

Semana del 22 al 26 de septiembre, 2014

Durante esta semana iniciaremos un proyecto de escritura donde los alumnos de cuarto y quinto grado escribirán sus propios CUENTOS. 

Las historias serán creadas e ilustradas por ellos mismos en la siguiente página en linea. www.storybird.com  Después, las compartirán con los alumnos de primer y segundo grados.

EM TECH AUDIT – Our school is being visited by a Technology team this week. They will be meeting with teachers, students, admin and parents. MIDTERM AND PROGRESS REPORTS –Midterm Progress Reports were sent home last Thursday. Please read through them and return them signed by next Wednesday, September 17. If you would like a conference, and one was not requested by the teacher, please call the school to set up an appointment.

MAP FALL TESTING SESSION – Our Fall testing session begins today. Your cooperation in making sure your child does not miss school on the days we have the tests is greatly appreciated.

Semana del 8 al 12 de septiembre de 2014

CUARTO GRADO

Esta semana celebraremos la independencia de nuestro país. 

1. Durante esta semana aprenderemos las canciones "La Lola" y "Parindé"  del folklore hondureño para cantar en la celebración del 12 de septiembre. 

2. Textos Líricos. Los alumnos crearán sus propios poemas. Esta será la evaluación semanal. 

QUINTO GRADO 

1. Textos literarios y no literarios. Los alumnos escribirán sus propios cuentos y esa será la evaluación de la semana. 

MIDTERM AND PROGRESS REPORTS –Midterm Progress Reports will be sent home on Friday, September 12. Please read through them and return them signed by next Wednesday, September 17.

DESAYUNO CATRACHO – To Celebrate the Honduran Independence, there will be a Pot Luck Style “Desayuno Catracho” in each classroom on Friday, September 12, from 8:00 to 8:50 a.m. We ask our parents to help us organize this, and contribute with goodies. Honduran cultural and fun activities will follow the breakfast. We encourage our students to come dressed in a Honduran outfit that day. We also want to remind parents that this is an early dismissal day (11:45 a.m.) and that the following Monday, September 15 and Tuesday, September 16  are holidays!
